Legit Athletics is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your gift pays for scholarships, field time and coaching, so more kids get to play.
Where your donation goes
Since 2022 the club has given families more than $200,000 in scholarships and discounts. Becoming a nonprofit lets us do more of it.
Scholarships
For players who can't afford equipment, registration or travel.
Field rentals
For practices, camps and clinics. We give players more training hours than other clubs while charging families less.
Coaches
Paying strong local coaches, and bringing in guest coaches who have played at the highest level.
Training equipment
The gear coaches need to help players develop, including those hoping to play in college.

Apply for a scholarship
Scholarships help local athletes who need financial support to play lacrosse. They depend on available funds and demonstrated need. Most awards are partial, so we can help more families each season, and not every application results in an award. If a monthly payment plan would make the cost manageable, please choose that first so the fund stretches further.
Who can apply
- The athlete is 18 or younger.
- The athlete commits to at least 80% of scheduled practices and games.
- A family member takes part in at least three volunteer opportunities during the season.
- The player has at least a 2.0 (C) overall GPA on their final report card.
- A parent, guardian or head of household completes the full application. Incomplete applications aren't considered.
Who gets priority
- Families with more than one child
- Single-parent homes
- Families receiving assistance such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, foster care or WIC (written proof required)
- Players with a written recommendation from a school, social services or youth center representative
